Why Choose CAI Lid Printing Machine?

Automates product feeding and improves production efficiency.

Printing resolution: 120 LPI, max printing speed: 400 pcs/min

Plate positioning accuracy ≤0.01 mm, mold positioning accuracy ≤0.02 mm

Inline with Kiefel and other thermoforming machines for production.

Accurate color-to-color alignment for consistent, high-quality,stable printing.

Optional Fruit Box & Egg Tray Printing
MTO Feeding System
Because each type of thermoformed lid has a different edge structure, traditional star-wheel feeding systems are extremely sensitive to variations in these edges. The MTO Feeding System overcomes this restriction and offers flexible feeding and more rapid product changeovers. Perfect for manufacturers that are managing alternative lid designs and continual product change.

Double-Row Printing Function
High-volume applications, such as KFC breakfast lids and fresh-cut fruit container lids, require higher printing speeds to keep up with demand. CAI’s double-row printing system prints two lids in a single transfer, increasing production efficiency to up to 500 pcs/min.

Pioneering Direct Lid Printing Machine for Complex Packaging

CAI is among the pioneers in direct printing on integrated-lid packaging, such as blueberry containers. With years of dry-offset printing expertise, we understand the unique challenges of different packaging surfaces and provide stable, high-quality printing solutions that have already been proven in real customer production lines.
Customer Upgrade Case

In 2023, a blueberry packaging manufacturer in Yunnan, China, introduced a CAI lid printing machine, achieving over 150,000 pieces in 8 hours for packaging orders from Driscoll’s.As packaging moves toward greater sustainability, direct printing helps reduce additional labeling materials while maintaining high-quality, efficient production.

A dairy packaging manufacturer in Chile chose CAI’s 8-color lid printing machine for high-quality printing on dairy lids.
With a production speed of up to 350 lids/min, the machine delivers stable, high-speed printing for large-scale dairy packaging production.
Customer's Voice
Our standard configuration uses flame treatment to improve ink adhesion. For products with special materials or surface requirements, we can also provide plasma treatment. The appropriate treatment method is determined by the material and surface adhesion requirements of the formed product.
In addition to the Driscoll’s blueberry packaging mentioned above, our lid printing machines are already being used for egg trays supplied to Sam’s Club, fruit containers for major brands, and conventional plastic lids. Our printing solutions have been applied across a wide range of packaging products and are already in commercial production in the market.
Yes. The machine can be configured to print both integrated-lid containers and conventional lids. However, due to the unique structure of integrated-lid containers, an additional lid collection system is required for this application.
Changeover time depends largely on the operator’s experience. Typically, changing products involves replacing the ink and printing plates, adjusting the lid collection and feeding systems, and other setup procedures, which takes approximately half a day. With the optional MTO Feeding System, changeovers can be significantly faster and more convenient, helping reduce downtime for manufacturers with frequent product changes.
