Integrated Production System
To meet the high-volume production demands of major brands, CAI’s lid printing machines can be integrated with upstream forming machines for fully automated production. A robotic arm transfers formed lids directly into the printing system, creating a seamless process from forming to printing. At the 2024 Chinaplas exhibition, CAI demonstrated an integrated solution with a Kiefel forming machine, achieving production speeds of up to 500 lids per minute with one forming machine and one lid printing machine.

The advantages of dry offset printing become more significant in high-volume production, where it can offer better cost efficiency, sustainability and printing consistency. For standard and connected egg carton lids, the same printing unit can generally be used, while different feeding and collection systems may be required for switching between products. The main printing process remains the same; the key challenges are product separation during feeding and stable stacking during collection.
